  The beginning of summer break

Here I am sitting on the deck of my parents’ beachfront rental, like a creeper ogling my father's friend’s ass. I don't remember Ian Fox looking this good. I've met him a handful of times over the years, but damn he's fine. A shirtless fox for real, walking on the beach with abs of steel, and a suntanned chest you want a chance to rub your tongue against. Oh god, what's wrong with me? He's going to be my boss for the summer internship. I'm screwed.

“Hey, sweetheart.” My father kisses me on the head and sits next to me at the table, momentarily drawing my attention away from the off-limit eye candy. “What are you doing on this beautiful day?”

“Relaxing until my friends come later for the barbecue.” I haven't seen them since last year’s summer break. Every year my parents rent this house, and they come over for the weekend. We have a barbecue mingling with my parents and their friends on the beach. But this is the first year I've seen Ian Fox here. I glance over, and he isn't alone. My Aunt Callie stands next to him, and they're smiling and laughing, her hand resting on his shoulder. I press my lips together and turn to my father.

“How come Ian is here this year?” I try to ask nonchalantly.

“Your mother invites him every year, but he's usually busy, or conveniently off with a new girlfriend on that weekend. This time she told him he had to come, or we were going to disown him as an honorable family member.” He chuckles, and the corners of his dark eyes crinkle, betraying his young-looking age of forty-six.

“What's the big deal about this year than the others?” I peek over at my aunt and my new boss. Becoming irrationally but increasingly annoyed by her hand still on his shoulder. Now lightly touching his chest. You don't need to be hands-on to have a conversation. Ian and I had a short conversation yesterday when I came, and I'm pretty sure he was checking me out before my mom said my name and he realized who I was. I was looking at him too, there was a mutual I dig you vibe going on between us.

“He’s going to be working with you, and she thought it would be good for him to become closer to the family again. Your mother always thought he and Callie were a good match together.”

“She's trying to play matchmaker.” I smile, but I really want to say, hell no they’re not a match.

“She thought she did great the first time. They lasted for two years.”

“I remember them dating when I was younger. What happened?”

“Apparently Ian was more serious about the relationship than Callie.”

“Why is mom pressing now, shouldn't she just leave it alone?” She should.

“You know your mom when she get’s something in her head. He’s been single for a while. Your mom thinks it's time for both of them to settle down, and that they'd be perfect together.” He tisks shaking his head. “I tell her it might come back to bite her in the ass if it doesn't work out. But she says matchmaking is a great family talent, going all the way back to her great grandmother in Mexico.“

“How come this is the first time I'm hearing of this great talent?“

“I say it's not that great if it only goes back one great grandmother.” He smiles, pushing up his glasses. She's been here since she was fifteen, and the only people she has matched was those two. And it didn't work out. I don't believe that particular talent was passed down to her.”

If Aunt Callie wasn't smart enough to keep him around, that was her loss. Losers weepers, finders keepers. What the hell am I thinking? Like I would ever have a chance with a man like him. If my father knew I was having these thoughts about Ian, he would freak.

I look over once again to see the once-in-love couple walking off. Aunt Callie's hand wrapped around his bicep prompts a barely audible growl from me. Shocked at myself, I quickly focus back on the conversation with my father, who has changed the topic and is genuinely interest in my life away from home.

This summer is going to be great. I’m going to catch up with my friends and my family. I have an internship lined up with my father's public relations company with pay, thank you very much. He finally believes I'm responsible enough, now that I’m going into my senior year at UCLA. I was before, but he just wouldn't believe that I was growing up and starting to make the right choices. In the past I’ve made some questionable decisions. Who hasn't? Questionable decisions are one of the requirements of being a teenager. College is about growing up, and that’s what I did.

I'm happy he can see the teenager who left New York is not the same person coming home from UCLA, buckling down for two years after declaring my major in English with a concentration in creative writing.

He tells me how proud he is of me after our talk, which makes me smile. I always want to make him proud.

I've run into Ian a few times today after seeing him earlier. A couple of times I even thought I caught him watching me. He looks better than any man should look, eyes intense, clear green pools drinking me in. Each time my breath catches, and then he looks away like he isn't as affected as me. I brushed it off as my imagination until one of the guys my friends brought to hook me up with, and I, are goofing around.

“Steven, no!“ I shout on the beach, when he picks me up by the waist swinging me around.

“Don't worry baby, I'll protect you if a great white attacks.” He sings the theme song to Jaws in my ear, which makes me fight back more. So much so, he‘s thrown off balance.

“You jerk,“ I yell laughing as we furiously splash water at each other. I try to back away almost making it out the ocean. But he catches me, wrapping both arms around my upper body. I suspect the position of his hand is no accident. He's definitely copping a feel.

“Alright, you can let go now, Steven.”

He smiles, loosens his arms, and as I’m moving, his ring snags in the top of my bikini. My breast almost pops out. Thanks goodness for quick reflexes, my hand pulls his back over my breast.

“Jade, if you want me to feel you up, all you have to do is ask.” He smirks.

“In your dreams, I’m that easy.” We have a good laugh and a joke about him undressing me on our first date while we try to get untangled like inept seal cubs.

Almost free, and sure Steven could pick my left breast out in a line up, I look over my shoulder. The look on Ian's face, the set of his jaw, those crystal green eyes aimed at my date, and his offending hand, are lethal.

This attraction between us isn’t me being delusional. It’s a full-blown I-want-you-and-can’t-get-you-out-of-my-mind-until-something-happens at
traction.

Later in the evening, my friends and I decide to play beach volleyball.

I look down at the bright yellow two-piece peeking out from under my cover-up. Standing next to Erica on the beach I check the scrap of material called a swimsuit. “I'm not sure about this two piece, Erica. One wrong bounce and people are going to get a eye full. More than I want anyone to see who isn't a contender for me to sleep with.”

“You look hot. I don't know what you’re complaining about. If I had your T&A I would be popping them out all over the place like party favors.” She smiles, trying to jiggle her breasts in her noticeable modest, black, one-piece bathing suit.

“Stop it.“ I laugh. “You're drawing attention to us. It's not a volleyball friendly suit. I'll be pulling, tugging, and securing the entire game instead of watching the ball.“

A smile raises the corner of her lip. “And Steven’s eyes will be watching you instead of the ball. Win-win. Too late to change. The game’s about to start.” She pops me on the ass. “Let's go, chica.” She sprints off to the net.

“Erica.” She’s using me for a distraction to win the game. I should be upset. Maybe I should change into a secure one-piece, but what the hell. Erica is a fierce competitor, and she likes to win. So do I.

I turn my head, drop my cover-up, and Steven’s eyes widen. I do a half turn showing the back. He gives me two thumbs up, and I smile shaking my head for being so cheeky, pun intended. But what catches my eyes over Steven’s shoulder is Ian practically drooling. I swear he licks his lips.

As long as he’s interested in looking my way, the two-piece is here to stay.

Five of my friends and I are on one side, and six of my parents’ friends are against us. The thirties and forty-somethings hold up against us surprisingly well. We’re tied near the end of the game, and then my competitive side takes over. I forget about enticing Ian; I’m in going-to-kick-ass, win-this-game, mode. I get so carried away, I make a jumping leap, spiking the ball to win. My breast falls out my top, but once again, thanks to my quick reflexes, I save myself from an accidental porn scene on the beach. After high-fiving my team, and an extra long hug from Steven, my team decides they're going to take a victory swim in the pool before changing into our evening clothes.

I tell Steven to go ahead while I get a drink of water, which is delightedly near Ian. I make my way over, grab a bottle, and lie next to him.

“Hey.” I smile extending one leg and bend the other, pushing my chest out to give him the best possible view of me. I know I shouldn't, but I can't help myself. Look at him, he's a man, not a boy, and he needs to know I'm not just some young girl, but a woman who's interested in him, as much as he seems interested in me.

“I believe your outfit is…risqué for coed beach volleyball.” His piercing eyes roll up and down my body, lingering on the expanse of my bare chest, before he settles his sight on my face. A flush of heat creeps over me.

“You sound like my father, Uncle Ian, or should I start saying, Boss, for next week?” I look straight at him, teasing.

He smiles. “Ian. Just Ian, Jade.”

I love the way he says my name. “Okay, just Ian. Instead of trying to give me a lecture on proper beach attire, shouldn't you be reconnecting with Aunt Callie?” I point my head in her direction. One thing I'm not going to do, is come between people who have genuine feelings for each other. Even more of a no-go if he's checking me out, and is still into my aunt. Let's see how free and clear he is of her.

He stares at her, then looks at me. “We haven't connected in years. We’re just friends.”

“With benefits,” I say. At his surprise I smile.

“Excuse me?” He sits his shades higher on his head.

“Come on, don't look shocked. A lot of people are friends with benefits.” I lean closer to him and his perfectly kissable sculpted lips, imagining how strong and firm they would be against mine.

“I don't believe this is an appropriate topic for us. How old are you again?”

  “Twenty. An adult.”

One of his brows rises. “Hmm, debatable.”

I sense a debate maybe coming which would be pointless to me. Feeling emboldened by the obvious appraisal of my body by his eyes minutes ago, I snatch his glasses, holding them out of his reach when he grabs for them. I triumphantly smile, putting them on, and walking toward the water. He sits back, crossing his legs with a smile I know is for me.

I need to clear my head of Jade. I wander down the back stairs of the beach house in to the meditation garden tired of trying to concentrate on the conversation going on around me, and tired of Elena putting Callie and me together. It wouldn't be a problem if Jade weren’t invading my every thought for the three days I've been here. I had a close view of everything she shouldn't have been displaying, with that guy salivating over her yesterday. Today isn't any better. The bathing suit should be torched, for all the eyes it has landing on her curves. Monday can't come soon enough. I'll drive home tomorrow—early in the morning.

She breezed in here excited smiling and beautiful as hell the first day. I was checking her out until Elena said, “You remember your Uncle Ian, give him a hug.” I don't know what I was expecting her to look like, but this wasn't it. To be honest, I never paid much attention to her. I was all about Callie and wanting to get engaged. When that didn't happen, and she crushed me with her admitted truth, we broke up. Since that time, I've only been in occasional contact with Callie a few times.

“Aunt Callie and my parents are looking for you.”

I turn to look at Jade. My eyes are bestowed with the most alluring sight. A calf length black, almost entirely sheer nightgown, clings to the soft curves of her beautiful body.

“What are you doing out here?”

“I thought I'd come get you.” She moves closer to me. Indecently close in what she's wearing, invading my personal space. Her breasts nearly on full display for me once again. Only the thinnest straps keeping me from seeing her firm high breasts, and keeping me in wonder of what they must feel like in the palms of my hands.

“Mm.” I nod. “You usually come searching for men in your nightgown?”

“Are you complaining about my bedtime attire? Is it not to your satisfaction?” A slight move and her full breasts almost brush against my chest. I inhale deeply to steady my thoughts.

“I'm not complaining—wondering. This slip of material would be considered indecent by all standards of the word. You’re not afraid I might take advantage of you?”

  “I trust you.”

I feel myself rising from her brazenness. My eyes roam over her curves, imagining how they would feel against me. “Maybe you shouldn't.”

“Why? We have something in common.”

  “What's that?”

“I'm certain I can't trust myself around you, either.”

She touches me for the first time in days, trailing her hands across my chest. I crumble beneath her touch, closing my eyes to the heat between us.

“Jesus Christ, you're a fucking tease.”

She nods, and I walk her back against the wall of the house next to a workbench. Her breath fans over my lips, and I can't help it. I have to taste her.

I swipe my tongue over her lips. She moans, pulling my head to hers in a heated kiss. I unbutton my pants, freeing myself, then pull her hand to my crotch. “Is this what you want Jade?” I say against her lips.

“Yes.” She wraps her hand around me, moving up and down.

“Then you're going to get it,” I growl sinking my teeth into her neck as she massages my length in her warm eager hands. I release a lengthy moan.

My pants dip below my ass with her willing fingers over my ass. I hike her nightgown up and palm her ass. “I'm going to fuck the shit out of you, so you'll learn not to tease me again.”

She pants, lining my cock up to her entrance. In her eyes, there's raw lust, and I rub the throbbing head of my cock against her with the most restraint ever possessed in my life, against her
exquisite warmth, forcing myself not to barrel through her slippery wetness.

“Oh god,” I say. “If it feels this good now, what the hell is it going to be like surrounded by you?”

Her lips brush my ear. “For both of us, heaven.” She flexes her hips up, with both hands on my ass pulling me into her.

“God yes, heaven.” I grab her jaw, ramming my tongue in her mouth, my aching cock begging for release inside her.

She moans loudly in my mouth, and I grunt pushing into her hard. Knowing we could be caught at any moment. As much as I would hate that, I would hate more having to pull out of the wonder that I now know is her body.

My head rears back. “Jade, we need to make this quick?”

With a dazed look in her eyes, and a nod of her head, she says, “Yes, please make me come.”

I pull her closer. She spreads her legs wider giving me better access for deeper penetration. My ass clenches together, I slam into her slick heat, picking up speed with each pump of my hips. I grind my pelvis against her to add extra pressure as my coarse hair scores against her clit. Her moaned shouts give me the response I’m looking for.

Her mouth open against my shoulder failing to conceal her pleas of raw pleasure fully. Bringing her to orgasm, I smile. I fucking smile, as her velvet liquid steel contracts around my shaft squeezing me to her. I explode with a thunderous roar; my head against her neck. I pump in and out, stream after stream, until my cock is spent twitching inside her.

My god. That was incredible. I lift my head, catching my breath, chest heaving like a long distance runner. Then it sinks in…

What the hell did we do? I fucked Alan’s daughter. My ex’s niece. Dammit.

We shouldn't have done that, but it’s hell of too late now. I slowly pull out of her heaven, but I hold her close, smoothing my hand across her cheek. I see her face in the dim light of the moon, and if the smile on her face is any indication of how she feels, I know she's not sorry for what we did. She kisses my cheek, and I run my thumb across her lip.
